You've picked out the extraordinary detail, especially in the eyes and colour definition. The bird is close to the centre of the photo which is key to focusing the eye on it.
I don't know how far away you were from the subject when you took the photo but the detail really is incredible.
I have very minor critique;
1) The bird could have been slightly more centred.
2) I try to avoid sheer light, such as on the bird's head, because it can make detail less clear.
I do love this photo though.
